The Power of Organic Social Media Content
As a social media content creator for New Paltz, I've had the opportunity to experiment with various types of content and see what resonates best with our audience. What we've found is that organic content - the type that doesn't look like an ad - performs incredibly well compared to traditional advertising.
In this section, I want to showcase some of the organic reels I've created for New Paltz that have turned into successful paid campaigns. By testing content organically first, we've been able to create ads that feel authentic and engaging to our audience.
ALBUM COVER REEL (PAID AD)
One example of an organic reel that turned into a successful paid campaign is our "Album Cover" reel. This reel showcased various locations on campus that looked like they could be the cover of an album. It was a fun and creative way to showcase the beauty of our campus while also engaging our audience. We later turned this reel into a paid campaign, and the results were incredible. It had a high engagement rate, and we saw an increase in website traffic and inquiries from potential students.
DAY IN THE LIFE REEL (PAID AD)
Another example is our "Day in the Life" reel, which followed a student (yours truly) around for a day and showcased what a typical day at New Paltz looks like. This type of authentic content allows our audience to get a glimpse into what it's like to be a student at New Paltz, and it's been very successful in attracting prospective students. We later turned this reel into a paid campaign, and it performed even better than we anticipated.

As you can see from the analytics above, our organic reels that turned into paid campaigns have performed exceptionally well. They have a high engagement rate, which has resulted in increased website traffic, inquiries, and overall brand awareness.
